Lobster (Crayfish) trawlers in the Currie Harbour, King Island, Tasmania
The fishing industry based on king Island on the western side of Bass Strait, is vital to the Island's economy. Lobster (Crayfish) boats and Tasmanian King Crab boats arrive daily into Currie Harbour and the catch is quickly sorted and packed for shipment. Much of the succulent catch is flown packed in ice, directly to China, Japan and the mainland states of Australia
