Framed Print of Barron River

This aerial photo shows the lower reaches upstream from the delta of the Barron River, near Cairns, Queensland, Australia. The riverbanks are lined with mangrove trees due to the proximity of the Pacific Ocean and as such this portion of the river is affected by tides. Recreational fishing is a popular pastime in these waters, fishermen undeterred by regular sightings of large saltwater crocodiles. The Barron River headwaters are in the Atherton Tablelands district before flowing through rainforest clad mountains of the Kuranda National Park via Mareeba. Immerse yourself in the stunning allure of Australia through our exquisite art collection. © 2015 Michael Thirnbeck
