Alice Springs is the 3rd populous town in the Northern Territory, Australia. Surveyor William Whitfield Mills named Alice Springs after Alice, Lady Todd who was the wife of the telegraph pioneer Sir Charles Todd. The town sits on the dry Todd River on the northern side of the MacDonnell Ranges with surrounding region also known as Central Australia or the Red Centre.

Danish built now Australian owned, this elegant sailing ship operates on Sydney Harbour. The tallship Søren Larsen is a brigantine built in 1949 in Nykøbing Mors, Denmark.
